The Brady Bunch : Jail bars question

Jail bars question

There's a picture of the Brady's behind the jail bars and they are seen on the box of Season 1. My question is how do the producers know that in Season 3 the Brady's were in jail? Did they think of the Brady's in jail before Season 1 started then save the storyline for Season 3 ???

Re: Jail bars question

Since the DVD's came out decades after the show, I'm guessing somebody put the wrong pictures on the box.

Re: Jail bars question

There's no wrong picture

Re: Jail bars question

The DVDs came out WAY later, so they could have mixed up the pic.

Re: Jail bars question

The picture was in one of the Brady Bunch books too. You aren't getting my point. I was asking how the producers know or predict the Brady's will be in jail sometime during the run. They used the picture as some promo .

That's the picture I'm referring to : https://www.google.com/search?q=brady+bunch+jail&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=vin&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwilnNO4htnPAhWEhlQKHZiqAMEQ_AUICSgC

Re: Jail bars question

I don't really understand what you're asking. The book, DVDs, and all that came out AFTER they show was completed, so really they could put any pic from any season ANYWHERE. They could put Greg with orange hair ~which was from the very last episode~ on the DVD cover of season 1 if they wanted to.

Re: Jail bars question

I get what you're saying now. (thanks for the link to the pic)

It looks like they made a promotional photo with the family looking through a metal grid sometime early in the series. Notice, though, that all of the vertical bars don't run from top to bottom, so it really isn't a jail door. That said, I'm guessing in this case it's a coincidence that the set piece in the photo looks like a jail door, and the Brady's were later in an episode where they were stuck in a jail cell.

Re: Jail bars question

Oh yeah I didn't notice the vertical bars. It sure looked like a jail door but it wasn't. Problem solved.
