The Brady Bunch : Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

I remember this topic was mentioned on here but I can't locate the thread.

Oliver was Carol's "nephew" so he'd have to be the son of a brother or sister of hers and not a cousin or something.
She mentioned "Roger" being her "sister's" husband. She didn't say "a" sister's husband or the husband of "one" my sisters so perhaps she only had one sister.
Oliver's parents are "Jack and Pauline".
Carol led with Jack's situation and then Pauline going with him rather than leading with Pauline was accompanying her husband Jack who'd been transferred.
Many would mention their sibling first and follow with the spouse.
Jack is then most likely Carol's brother.
Oliver's surname would thus be Tyler.
Oliver Tyler isn't melodious.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Well, Oliver himself isn't melodious.Or she could of had two sisters. Maybe her parents had three girls, too.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

I've always thought Oliver's last name was "Denver".

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Maybe, I covered that as a possibility. At least one sister and her husband Roger didn't make it to the wedding because Mike had to ask "Who's Roger". I believe that's how he said it and not "Roger who"?
I'm still going with Oliver Tyler at this point.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Where was the surname "Tyler" established?

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Carol's parents were referred to as Mr. & Mrs. Tyler during the pilot episode.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Carol Anne Tyler Martin Brady.

Maiden name is Tyler. First married name, Martin.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

That was established during the pilot episode.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

I think some fans like yourself concluded that Oliver's last name was Tyler. But I don't think it has ever been confirmed. It would be hilarious if Oliver's surname was Cousins. The quarterback of the Washington Redskins is Kirk Cousins. And there is a DeMarcus Cousins who plays with the Sacramento Kings of the NBA.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

It wasn't confirmed. I was just deducing.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Carol mentioned having a brother in the Dough Re Mi episode. She referenced him when talking to peter about his voice changing.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Clothesoff

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

?

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Oliver Clothesoff, icing. Try saying it out loud.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Still don't see why it's supposed to be funny

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

It's one of Bart's prank calls to Moe's. Maybe the funny part is when Moe unwittingly pages the subjects.

"Oliver Clothesoff. I wanna see Oliver Clothesoff."

"Homer Sexual. Come on, I know one of you guys has to be Homer Sexual."

"Mike Rotch. Has anybody seen Mike Rotch lately?"

"Hugh Jass. Is there a Hugh Jass here? Somebody check the men's room for a Hugh Jass."

"Amanda Huggenkiss. I'm looking for Amanda Huggenkiss."

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

Oh okay, I haven't watched The Simpsons in years. Thanks for the explanation.

Re: Oliver's surname (Tyler?)

I am sorry to take this discussion off topic. But IMDB closing down their boards is kind of like the last day of school. We have to say our goodbyes.
