Willard : Did Willard Get The Money To Save His House From Repossession?

Did Willard Get The Money To Save His House From Repossession?

There's the scene where Willard sneaks in his passel of rats in a suitcase into the residence where Mr Spencer, the rich client of Martin, resided - the one who bragged in the office that he always carried a wad of cash on hand. After the rats scare off Spencer and his wife, Willard then enters the bedroom, and presumably in there he found a substantial amount of money enough to pay the monies owed on his house and saving it from being taken over by the taxman. No mention is made about repossession of the house after this scene, and I presume that he managed to save his house. Can anyone elucidate on this? Thanks.

I don't know. The movie didn't say how much mortgage was left to pay.

Wasn't the man whose house he broke into the one who was given the $8,000 check for his vacation? I just assumed Willard found his address and then stole the check.

The taxes owed were $2500.00, but can't remember if that included the mortgage. Willard and the rats do steal the money from the fellow employee and his wife who were given $8000 for a vacation.
