Joe Hill : Searching for a copy

Searching for a copy

As with so many of Bo Widerberg's repertoire, it appeas that this film is virtually unavailable for home theatres. Still, I noticed other people have had some luck tracking down a copy - legal or no - so I figured I'd give it a go. If anyone can obtain a copy, through shady connections, primo hunting skills or dark magics, I would very much appreciate it.

Re: Searching for a copy

I saw your reply to the inquiry about a copy of Joe Hill from 1971. I was a student in Sweden at the time and myself and friends were extras in the movie. If you still have access to a copy, I would be very interested in purchasing it. Thanks, Jill

Re: Searching for a copy

Looks like you may have already received a copy of this film. If not, I have a bootleg copy I bought a year ago.

an outfit called moviedetective.net handles a lot of obscure out of print and otherwise unavailable films. Facets a non profit out of Chicago which has a DVD by mail service rents many of their releases. Netflix doesn't carry them. And you can buy them directly from their website. A caution these tend not to be first rate transfers but at least you can see the film you otherwise you might not have been able to
