I don't know if this is an IMDb goof–

--but this film is listed as a/k/a 'The House on the Strand'. Far as I can tell, none of the stories bear even a passing resemblance to the 1969 Daphne Du Maurier novel, so does anyone know if IMDb's listing is correct, or if any of the tales purport to be based on her book? (If so, it was certainly 'adapted' out of any semblance of recognition.)

Re: I don't know if this is an IMDb goof–

probably complete B.S.

IMDB has so much incorrect information on it... especially with 'running times' and 'alternate film titles'

I myself have removed close to 30 'false information' edits on IMDB... it's becoming a problem.

Re: I don't know if this is an IMDb goof–

Most likely. I was curious, as this is one Amicus anthology film I haven't seen and since I like Du Maurier's book I thought I might check out the film if there was any connection. But the plot synopses didn't seem to suggest any, so probably safe to assume it's another IMDb info glitch. This place is worse than Wikipedia for untrustworthy information.
