Amen : So how did it end

How did this show end? Was there a finale?

They're currently showing the last season on TVONE if you have access to it. The finale should be on within a couple of weeks. It's on at 5PM EST. I don't remember specifically how it ends, but by the title of the last episode, I assume Thelma gives birth.

I had to delete my previous response, as I was describing an episode from season 4. All I can say is that I miss this show. Will look forward to getting the seasons on dvd along with the sherman hemsley's "the jeffersons". Anything that features him is always a blast!!!

I believe it ended with the state siting the church for not being up to code and needing repairs at over $25,000, they tried a fund raising via television which included an appearance by the late James Brown. Although they raised the money they still couldn't afford to keep it- they closed the church down.

I remember James Brown stopping his performance to watch Thelma giving birth. LOL

They DID raise enough money in the end to keep the church afloat. That would have been a terrible finale if they didn't, LOL.
