Joe : Song title/artist from Joe

Can someone tell me the name of the song and who it's by in this movie that's played during the scene in the bar when Joe & Bill decide to go with the kids to the party in the hopes of getting more info on finding Melissa? Thanks.

I'm watching Joe right now, so I'll report back in a bit if I know the song. :)

I have the soundtrack and it's either "You Can Fly" by Jerry Butler, (but I think that's what is on when Joe tells the hippie girl she should turn the record down) or "You Don't Know What's Goin' On" by Exuma, most of the soundtrack is instrumental besides the two Jerry Butler tracks and the Exuma and the "Hey Joe" song by Dean Michaels.

Thanks, it might be "You Don't Know What's Goin' On" by Exuma, most likely one of the instrumentals, it's the real bass heavy funk piece with no words (at least in the piece you can hear of it in the film), don't know if that helps, sure wish this was on CD, I hate to pay a fourtune for an old vinyl copy which "might" have what I'm looking for, wish I could hear it to find out. I'd better not ask anyone to post mp3's or this will be deleted and I don't know if I want to post my e mail address in a public form. Well, virginsuicide77 don't know if there is a way to do this or not but if you can "private message" me though this board, please do and we'll work something out (if you have mp3's of these or whatever that is I mean of course). :)

Thanks Vinnie! Just saw your post now, It turns out it's You Can Fly by Jerry Butler, never would've guessed this was him, sure it different for him, 11 minute track! Yeah they used different parts of it in diff parts of the movie that's probably why we thought it was all different songs.

The song "You Don't Know What's Goin' On" is in an early scene with Sarandon and her boyfriend in their pad.

You people should also know the score was written and performed by Bobby Scott, the same great jazz artist that wrote
A Taste Of Honey" and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" He was a friend of mine I knew all through the 1970s.
