Who agrees this is Boyle's best performance and should have been nominated?

1) Jack Nicholson (Five Easy Pieces)
2) Peter Boyle (Joe)
3) Alan Arkin (Catch-22)

Yes, he should have been nominated. I would have rather had Boyle than Ryan O'Neal who somehow managed to get nominated for Love Story (1970; that whole movie is overrated. It's a good movie but Oscar material?)

Yeah, I definitely agree especially considering Boyle couldn't have been any more opposite in real life. Hell, he was pretty much a hippie himself.
