Under the Skin : Who else could have been the alien?

I feel like I would love this film 10x more if Scarlett hadn't been in it.

I would have been interested to see one of the earlier choices, Gemma Arterton play it. She has a very sphinx-like quality that would have gone maybe better, that without Johansson's round features could have improved. Given us a more sinister beauty from the alien. Bewitching
