The Six Million Dollar Man : This is for Kids of the seventies

This is for Kids of the seventies

I'm 34 years old right now but i rememeber when i was a kid in the seventies. The six million dollar man was so popular among kids. I rememeber 1978 when i was like 7 with my six million dollar man toy. Star Wars and the six million dollars man toys were the most popular toys among kids. This tv series brings back so many memories to me about my childhood. Lee Majors was great. I wouldn't miss an episode with my mom.

I'm 34 as well. I hung on to my Steve Austin toy till all I had left was the head and I used the eye.

I watched every episode with my dad and held on to the same toys.

Re: This is for Kids of the seventies

I was also 7 years old in 1978. Unlike then, I now have lots of money and will gladly buy all seasons on DVD, as soon as Universal Studios get off there asskeisters!!!

Re: This is for Kids of the seventies

I'm 35 and would also purchase these on DVD. Watching "Wonder Woman" on DVD has made me think of this show. Who didn't pretend they were Steve Austin and jump in slow motion, making the accompanying jumping sounds with their mouths?

Re: This is for Kids of the seventies

it was great. I can't believe how time has gone by. It's been 28 years since 1978.

I also had Bionic Man action figure and never missed an episode of the show.

Re: This is for Kids of the seventies

I'm 34 too! I got me the Steve Austin doll for my 6th birthday. I kept it for a long time. Eventually I disposed of it (just a few years ago) but somehow I regret it now.

Re: This is for Kids of the seventies

Loved the show and the toys. Between my brother and I we had Austin, Bigfoot, Maskatron, critical arms and leg accesories, space suit and that inflatable dome playset. My brother had the lunchbox which was really cool. I'm 32 and my brother is 33. We were pretty much the only ones into this stuff as the show went off the air in 78 and the Star Wars dominated from that point on to the early 80's. We really got into it from the reruns that aired soon after it was cancelled. Most of the toys were not available in normal toy stores anymore at that point and we were lucky to have got some good stuff from stores that sold closeout items. I have to thank my parents for going out of there way to find this stuff for us.

Re: This is for Kids of the seventies

Let`s see as I was born July,9th.1970 I was a card carrying member of The Six Million Dollar Man fan club.I had the action figure with the removable bionic parts. The arm had a rubber sleeve. The figure I got came with some type of plastic motor, engine something like that for Steve to lift.I had the blue/white rocket ship in which Steve arrived in.I had Stretch Armstrong and the Stretch Monster,Green Machine,Shogun Warriors,a Partridge Family play set with figures, instruments a bus with painted wooden removeable top.A Space 1999 playset with a huge white spaceship and figures.I can even remember the boxes the toys came in.Sports cards,Mad magazines.I`m sure I`m forgetting many more.As I look back being born into the 70`s and having my first decade play out within its confines, the television, the movies, the music(definitly the music!);it was a great time to be alive as well as being a kid back then.It seems like that was many lives ago.I hold those memories that still last very close.Life,times/things now seem never near as good.I guess that`s the way everyone tends to view their childhood though?
