RWBY : Dear Anime Snobs aka Wapanese,

This show was made by a creator who wanted an anime approachable by fans of animation eastern and western alike. If you know you are an anime snob, move on for this is not for you hence the MLPFIM, Hogwarts, Matrix, and Sucker Punch vibes. Let the non hardcore anime fans enjoy it, and you can dig through your massive subtitled collection of anime to enjoy.

I'm a hardcore anime fan with a massive collection of subtitled anime and I still liked RWBY. Nobody is telling you not to enjoy it, lol, calm down.

My anime nut fans have petitioned for this to be cancelled for soiling anime. I love RWBY, and I am told I have no taste in liking it. This issue is quite common.

Why does everyone make a big deal of this? Can't we just enjoy a show?

Life long anime fan here. Love RWBY with a passion as well as other western produced anime style shows.

Frankly, I'm rather disappointed in the creator's decision to make this "anime-eque". Not that I harbor any kind of ill towards the medium, but it just kind of bothers me how anime has become the sole example of mature or experimentive animated storytelling, and that other styles can't cut it.
