Johnny Whitaker : Why isn't Family Affair reruns ever shown?
Re: Why isn't Family Affair reruns ever shown?
MeTV is airing them very early in the morning - it's great to see this show again after all these decades; some of my earliest TV memories were watching the CBS Daytime reruns in the late 60's-early 70's when I was around 3 years old
Deb68finately a very appropriate show for all ages.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will look forward to seeing it again with my grandkids.

Hope you had a chance to see them all! Just learned that MeTV is taking "Family Affair" off their fall schedule, which begins on Sept. 3. I've caught most of the episodes from about the middle of S2 onward, but was looking forward to seeing all of S1, which just restarted last week.

I hope they return for the Summer of 2013. I watched the series when I was young. Whenever they are reshown, I view some at times all over. They are clean and wholesome compared to so much that airs these days. Brian Keith, Sebastian Cabot, Anissa Jones, Johnny Whitaker, and Kathy Garver all were superb in the series.

I wonder too why it is never on. Who owns the rights and is that the reason it is hard to get?

The new CBS over-the-air sub-channel affiliate is Decades. They are showing a Family Affair binge that started April 28th or 29th. They will run through the complete catalog of episodes from first to last.
I watched Family Affair re-runs as a youngster in the 1970s and my sister and I thought the shows were new. When I watch the episodes now as an adult, they don't hold the same interest for me but they do provide quite a bit of nostalgic value.

Good question I get a creepy feeling.
I think it has something to do with Buffy becoming a hope to die dope fiend and dying. She till this day being the cutest childstar who did not get on my nerves. Buffy and Mrs. Beasley. What a tragedy. And then we have the Brian Keith suicide factor.
