Some Kind of Hero : The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

I am I the only guy who saw this as a teenager.
I was like twelve and never had sex.
I remember Margret on top saying to Richard "You just let me do all the work.

I was also recently thinking about the scene where the gangsters were going to kill Richard.
Richard called Margert and said he was in a hotel in big trouble, and some guys were going to kill him.
I remember Margret told him "Well run yous a$$ off and get out of there".
I was impressed buy the way she seemed to really care about him.
Thats when my young teenage mind, equivelated the concept of sex and love being related.
This is an excellent film !

I love this film and the one where Richard drives the school bus full of children accross the country.

I remember Siskel and Ebert, using these two films as examples of the kinds of films Richard was making after his cocian accident, where he lit himself on fire. Films with heart.

It was a great film and my introduction to relationships between men and women.

Re: The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

That would be "Bustin' Loose"...good flick indeed.

The world lost a great entertainer when Pryor died.

Here's to those who wish me well...

Re: The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

Very Sad indeed. In Richards AutoBiography "Prior Convictions. Richard said that he and Margre became close durring that film. But later when she came to see him he was very strung out and she became angry.

Re: The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

That was a really terrible moment.

Re: The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

Yeah, this was a great film when I saw it in 82 so I want to see this again

Re: The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

I'm not sure its been thirty one years since I saw it. I do remember her riding Richard saying "You relax and I will do all the work". I had never seen anything like that before. I was thirteen or twelve years old. Internet did not exist yet.I should go back and watch it today. It would be trip to see the scene through the eyes of a forty four year old.

Re: The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

My experience was similar to yours steveicm and probably at about the same age.

I remember that sex scene being quite a bit more graphic than it reads in the parental advisory. I'm pretty sure I remember a nearly pornographic scene between the two of them in a bathtub. But it was a long long time ago.

Either way, this movie had its impact on me. It just popped up on NetFlix today, so I'm going to watch it again soon.

Same here I must have been 15 at the time. I thought it was so odd to see Margot Kidder who was famous for Lois Lane at the time having such a rough sex.

I would have to say the sex scene was graphic more in its language than in what was actually shown (i.e. nudity). I remember her riding him and asking how long had it been since he had been with a women. Richard's character said "Seven years" Thereafter, she started really riding him and more or less said "Go ahead and give me all seven of those years." Then of course there was the implied BJ in the bathtub.

Re: The Sex Scene between Richard And Margret

I saw the movie when I was 13 and all I remember was the bathtub scene and they cut it out of the DVD. Was there a bathtub scene. Margot Kidder was so beautiful during the 70's and 80's. And Pryor I miss like all the rest of the best. I was a Pryor fan and I haven't seen it since 1982. I thought this movie was alright like the rest of his movie career it just went downhill.
