Really good!
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
She was composed and articulate. She is not easy on herself so I wouldn't expect her to go easy on that cult either. I think a part of her is still grieving the loss even though she knows it's what she had to do. It's a real life divorce and in order to go on she has to go through the stages of grief to recover. She will and it is their loss. Any religion worth time means the parishioners be allowed to voice their opinions and revise the church to fit the times. This is one crazy a$$ operation and a money making machine. I think Kirstie Alley fits right in with those lunatics.
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
Sounded like typical religious disillusionment to me. Expected more scathing details.
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
What a weird "religion " in the beginning of the interview she said the goal of the church is to save the planet. Wonder what they are doing to save the planet. Does anyone ever hear of them donating money to help the poor or doing charity work? Maybe working to save the rain forest type stuff? I've never heard anything like that. Save the planet? Hog wash!!
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
She came of well but in parts it seemed she left because she was jealous of Tom Cruise. She said he was given status that she didn't like and a lot of the complaints were about that and one of her reasons why she didn't like it was because he's an actor but she was given benefits too since I am guessing based on the tone of the interview most people in that church dont meet the leader and she was a close friend and was higher up than most.
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
One of the things I was curious about was when she said she was audited and these 'sessions' cost thousands of dollars. I wonder if this was an exaggeration because she wasn't rich and famous at the time. I can't believe she could come up with that much money working in housekeeping or as a receptionist.

The "church" accepts credit cards, and even has specialists on staff who will open up new lines of credit for members so they can keep pledging more.
Like any other vendor, the "church" gets paid upfront, and it is up to the credit card holder to deal with the debt over time.

Re: Good 20/20 Interview
Wow, the money you have to spend to become and stay a $cientologi$t!
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
Why don't you look up to see what Leah has been doing lately. Or what shows and movies she was in, or better yet, what awards she has received. That interview and everything about the Church and going after them has been about money and publicity.
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
To "megan-e-stallings":
Ask those same questions of Kirstie Alley and "Dharma & Greg" star, Jenna Elfman. Their accomplishments (outside of Scientology) have added up to a whole lot of NOTHING. By the way, Tom Cruise hasn't received an Oscar yet. Leah is far from being a "loser", in part because she's willing to admit her mistakes. Unlike many of her former Scientology celeb "friends", she has public support, is reunited with her family, and enjoying lifeb68 without the constant brow beating or Scientology's snitch culture.
================
This coming Friday (Apr. 29th), ABC's current affairs show, "20/20", will be airing an interview with RON MISCAVIGE, SR. (he's the father of the current Scientology leader, David Miscavige) who escaped the cult and has written a memoir about his experiences, including his relationship with his son. The book is entitled "RUTHLESS" (very apt) and is coming out MAY 3, 2016!!! Should be a real eye-opener, just like Leah Remini's book.

Re: Good 20/20 Interview
I'm sure she's more successful than you. She has money. She's just telling the truth and personally, I find it totally interesting because I think Scientology is nothing but a cult.
Re: Good 20/20 Interview
As if you're as successful, who the F are you to tell someone what success they have in their life because you are offended that they talk bad about some self important celebrity you have never met and figuratively probably spit on you if you approached her in real life? People like her look would look at you and every other hard working person whos not "on their level" as peasants why the hell are you acting like her bodyguard, its pathetic.
