Star Trek III: The Search for Spock : Kruge's pet Targ

Kruge's pet Targ

Was it prosthetic markup on a dog or what? CGI ?

Re: Kruge's pet Targ

I'm not so sure that it was a Targ that Kruge had. I remember in a TNG episode that you saw Worf's pet Targ he had as a kid, that one looked significantly different.
That one resembled a Wild Boar a whole lot more.

Re: Kruge's pet Targ

I'm not aware of other pets that Klingons had.

But what do you think it was, makeup or what?

Re: Kruge's pet Targ

It was 100% a puppet created by Ken Ralston. Just a piece of rubber with some paint and a couple operators. It is unofficially classified as a "warrigul." It is not a targ.

Re: Kruge's pet Targ

Cool. Thx for the info.

Re: Kruge's pet Targ

No problem. I say "unofficial" because the thing we only referred to as a warrigul in the novelization. The crew called it lots of different stuff.

Re: Kruge's pet Targ

I think "lizard dog" has been used on occasion.

Re: Kruge's pet Targ

Yes, it was 1984 CGI.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.
