Red Dawn : Re-Education camp
Re: Re-Education camp
What tugged on my heart strings was when Mr. Eckert looked away when the boys asked where Mom was.
Re: Re-Education camp
I started to cry when I couldn't hear the PA announcer telling me why America was a whore house.
It would be a great extra on a DVD. You can hear the entire speech on why America is a whore house.

Re: Re-Education camp
Yes, it was one of the scenes in that movie that made it hit home hard. I saw Red Dawn for the first time on HBO in 1985 while there still was a cold war and a Soviet threat to think about so that added to the effect this particular scene and the movie in general had on me.
Re: Re-Education camp
Patrick Swayze said his dad had recently passed away. He used thst as motivation then and later when he needed emotion.
Re: Re-Education camp
Harry Dean Stanton ROCKS!! Just Rocks!!
Re: Re-Education camp
It is touching, I'll admit that. Of course, in the end, they are all reunited in heaven.
Re-Education camp
What really made me choke up a bit when Mr. Eckert tells them all to leave before they are found out. The way Patrick Swayze delivered his lines were really well done, crying while giving his Dad a final goodbye. "Dad, I love you."
Anybody else except me get choked up?
