Midnight Caller : DVD?

DVD?

With all the TV shows being released as DVDs nowadays is there any hope they might release Midnight Caller? Does anybody know?

Re: DVD?

I'd like to know too. This is something I'd definitely buy.

Re: DVD?

Definitely! I would pay almost any price to have this show on DVD. Does anyone know who owns the rights for the series? Is it NBC? In that case, perhaps they could be persuaded to release the series. Like bearchrltt said; a lot of shows are being released these days.

Re: DVD?

I have been keeping an eye out but haven't seen it on DVD. I would snatch it up in an instant if it became available.

Re: DVD?

Me too, I have been looking out for this or back episodes of the series and can't seem to find them anywhere.

Does anyone know if they are being rerun anywhere?

Re: DVD?

A few years ago they were showing them on Lifetime, of all places, but they no longer do. I check throuh TiVo every once and again to see if any station will be showing it but so far no luck. I also have been looking for the DVD, the show was awesome!

Re: DVD?

It's currently at number 494 on the Most Requested charts at tvshowsondvd.com. Maybe if everyone goes and votes for it it'll go up the ranking.

Re: DVD?

Well it's moved up the ranking to 442 Not exactly earth shattering news in the space of 3 months, but we live in hope.

Re: DVD?

Midnight Caller is at the top of my most wanted DVDs definitely. Most of or every one of Gary Cole's shows are or will be on DVD, with the exception of this underrated show. The current review above the message board index I enjoyed reading and yes it does sum it up saying it like that.

Is the show stuck in legal rights?

Re: DVD?

nightmaredoom4-1 - Only just seen your reply, since I made my last post. Would Warner let another DVD distributor have the rights to release Midnight Caller?

nightmaredoom4-1 - Just edited my last post to put your member name at the start, as it looks like I'm replying directly to everyone here.

That's a shame. I don't get it. You'd think they would let another distributor release it and do it justice - complete season boxsets with plenty of extras.

Re: DVD?

> Nope. Warner doesn't license their stuff out.

Right, they'll just sit on it, and not let anybody else release it. They're interested in spending $160 million on "Poseidon" (a movie that did not need to be remade), but can't see their way to releasing "Midnight Caller" or "Brimstone" on DVD. <rolleyes>

KoshN - Brimstone [Stone lights a candle for the dead.] Gina: Who's that for? Ezekiel Stone: Me.

For those of you that haven't seen the other message, you can register and vote on www.tvshowsondvd.com for TV shows you want to get released on DVD, Midnight Caller is now 330th on the list. The more of us that vote the more likely it is to get released.
