I Need To Know : Constant error message!

Anyone fed up with this constant Doh! glitch? I was gonna start a Get(No)Satisfaction thread, but somebody already has. Anyone with a Facebook account should wade in there, I just left a somewhat pithy comment there. If they destroy our boards as planned, everyone should flood GS to breaking point with complaints (Polite ones of course)!

Yes, this has been happening since yesterday. Seems they're hellbent on adding insult to injuryor maybe to get us so fed up that we stop complaining about the destruction of the boards.

But I suspect complaining anywhere about "D'oh!" won't do any more good than complaining about the end of the boards. It may even fall into their plans. My advice is to let it go. It's annoying, but we'll deal with it in the time remaining.

By the way, star-core, thanks for all the help you rendered to people here over the past several years. You've always been helpful and constructive and it's people like you, WillEd and a few others who did this place proud and provided people with a real service. Sorry it's all going away.

Taking away the boards from us is disgusting. There needs to be a reckoning. It's corporate BS, they are pacifying all of our voices, they don't care about us as long as they are raking in the ads revenue. I hope there is a big time Boycott of IMDb and it's affiliates. Someone needs to start a Facebook campaign to protest.

I don't see the point when the thing is on its last legs anyway. It may be due to the boards being much more busy. Get Satisfaction is bullcrap.

Yeah, but why should we put up with this crap in the last few days of the boards? They are telling us to archive our posts, which is BS anyway, but this is only going to stymie the situation.

The increased traffic may be causing it, or it could be that IMDb is just letting things run the course. The boards are shutting down in ten days, so they are not monitoring things as closely as before. They no longer care.

By the way, re a comment you made a couple of posts below, I've also just noticed the apparent disappearance of the error messages. Maybe it was a temporary glitchor perhaps the admins reminding us of their powers!

HOB - As I recall there used to be a British movie site similar. I recall my daughter sending me a link some years back.

I meant just their message boards. I honestly don't think the IMDb is in any danger of disappearing.

It's the feeling of warm blood pi**ing down your back, after having a knife plunged into it. This is way wrong, they should fix this. It's killing the fun of the last days of the board before the apocalypse.
