You KNOW good and well that Beyonc deserved that award. It's not even arguable.

This has nothing to do with whoever you stan for or whoever you hate. The Grammys hardly ever reward black excellence in marquee categories and it is truly a disgrace. If Adele or Taylor Swift or Amy Winehouse had made an album like Lemonade, there wouldn't even be discussions of Adele or Sturgill Simpson being in the running.

Beyonc is an icon and one of the most prolific artists of this generation, and for them to blatantly disrespect her like this time and time again is just uncalled for. The same thing happened to her self-titled album that was just as worthy of the award, and 4 wasn't even nominated for anything.

Why is it acceptable to use A-list black artists as performers to draw ratings to your increasingly irrelevant show but not give them respect where respect is due with major wins? This should enrage you whether or not you like Beyonc or her damn fans.

But some of you just want to let your dogwhistle racism fly on Black History Month. SHAMEFUL.

You would maybe have a point if Beyonce didn't have 22 Grammys but she does. What about the artists that came before her who haven't won any, or have less than her? How come you're not outraged about that? You think Beyonce is supposed to win every single award that she's nominated for and that's not how it works. This doesn't have anything to do with race. 25 is the highest selling album of the last 6 years. It's sold over 16 million copies worldwide, it went Diamond, it was well-received critically, and was a cultural phenomenon. Lemonade just does NOT compete. Had 25 not been in the running, I would agree with you wholeheartedly but Adele deserved that award and people need to stop trying to take that away from her. One of the biggest errors in Grammy history was Metallica losing to Jethro Tull, a folk rock band, for Best Metal Performance in 1989. This is nowhere near that egregious. To claim it is is to completely discredit Adele, an incredible talent who released an amazing album in her own right. Honestly, in the end, it's just an award show, nothing to get this worked up over. Plenty of legends in the past have never even won a single Grammy, let alone 22.
