It's too sombre and they should've had a medley of his hits by various artists.

I agree. it also felt a bit pretentious. Adele and Beyonc aren't doing anything for me this evening.

It was a lovely gesture but something was off, like she was singing in a different key than the music or something.

"Fastlove" is an up-tempo song that just didn't sound right slowed down so much and dire like.

Great call. It makes no sense.

And I agree with everyone else here. This tribute was awful. He deserved much better.

She should have kept it upbeat. Fastlove doesn't work as a ballad.

If they wanted to go the somber route, they should have done Praying for Time. I think Celine would have been a great choice for that.
