Beverly Hills, 90210 : What are your plans after IMDB shut down

I hope it doesn't shut down, if it happens what site will you go to after this?

I'm not big on social media I mean I have a facebook account I don't post there all the time I go there to watch some of the videos some people post. I joined some 90s groups they are not the same, I joined some BH90210 groups they are not the same either. I have youtube that is no fun I don't consider that a message board.

I'd like to know the answer to this, too! I'm not on fb anymore or any other social media and this 90210 message board is literally the only one with a group of people who aren't horrible. I could care less about the other boards, but I'll definitely miss this particular bunch.

This MB has been such a unique, fun way to laugh and reflect with like-minded people. Maybe we can start our own Facebook page? "The Original BH 90210 IMDB Group"?

Instead of FB, what about Reddit? I feel like those who stay away from FB aren't going to go on there, plus Reddit is more "anonymous" and keeps in line with the message board format of this board.

Good idea! Reddit is a very good option.
Too bad they are shutting this down, I think it's a very good way to interact with other fans. I don't see why they are saying it's not positive. I love to debate with other fans on this board and on other boards for movies and shows I like.

I am definitely open to this and other options. I am fairly active on FB though it is by far a favorite site, more like a necessary evil these days. I much preferred coming here and as most of you have agreed, continually interacting with like-minded people about a show we all enjoy joking about.

I will still come to IMDB for basic info, perhaps actor bio's that I am searching for after seeing someone I cannot place, but the message boards were a whole different, really fun aspect of this site. My hubby doesn't understand why I am so upset since he never delved here but I keep reminding him of how much time I spent checking favorite boards, reading and laughing out loud at everyone's comments and enjoying responding back. They mentioned in the statement something about setting up new aspects so maybe they will come back with something similar. We can definitely hope because I think they are underrating the social aspect we all enjoyed about exploring these boards good naturedly (which most of us in my experience did). Any minor disagreements were met with decent replies normally, no hate involved, so this so called "not positive" aspect is B.S.

Exactly, the posts and comments used to make my day and give me a good laugh. I don't have many friends I consider mostly everyone I posted on imdb with friends.

Hopefully I will channel the time into more home-working out or even extra trips to gym, cleaning up the disastrous neglected yard-garden, watching more American true-crime shows , Dateline Mystery, CI etc, I've downloaded from YTs..

Hopefully the not inconsiderable time spent here will be productively channeled..

I don't think there is going to be a comparable substitute for it get up, unless some rival designs one purpose built to fill the gap, and it catches on.

There is a Beverly Hills 90210 board over at FanForum. It's the only place other than here that I sometimes still post, although I'm more of a lurker. My username there is Moonlight~Pixie in case anyone decides to pop over.
