Holy sheeit. Brass monkey weather.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

I recently finished Until Dawn by Supermassive Games. It was more of an interactive horror movie than a game. It is full of fun horror movie clichés, but it is actually pretty scary and has a good story. You play as several different characters, and your choices determine who lives and who dies. You can save all of the characters, none of the characters, or any variation in between simply based on your choices and how well you play the game. I thought it was a cool idea. Rami Malik from Mr. Robot was in it. It's only for PS4 though.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

Until Dawn was amazing. I want to pick up a PSVR setup so I can play the sequel.

Less than forget. But more than begun.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

I hope they change their minds and do a sequel for the PS4 as well. I think they had a really good idea and could do many different stories... but I'm not really into the virtual reality thing.

If you liked Until Dawn, then you might like Heavy Rain. It's choice based as well. It's pretty primitive by today's standards now (it was one of the first "interactive movie" type games), but it still has an interesting storyline and you get to play as four different characters.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

Nods I have Heavy Rain haven't played it yet but it looks fun as well as intriguing .

Not to mention I've heard and watched a video where a hilarious glitch which SPOILED some of the game made me laugh my ass off.

I even watched a clip from the game where one of the main characters sons looked like a giraffe the glitches alone look absolutely hilarious.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

lol, yeah, the early versions were very glitchy. They recently released a PS4 download, and it's a lot better. Still kinda choppy in some places and the voice acting leaves much to be desired, but it is still a fun game to play. The storyline alone makes it worth it. It took a couple of chapters for me to get into it, but I couldn't stop playing it once I was hooked. I appreciated how innovative it was at the time. It was pretty much the first of motion-capture-choice-driven genre.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

Have you played the TellTale games? They aren't motion capture, but they are story driven. I like their Walking Dead series, and the Batman one isn't too bad. Game of Thrones was okay; could have been better. They are like interactive comic books.

Have you played the TellTale games?

I'm a huge fan of their Sam and Max series. I actually turned down a QA job at Telltale because I got offered a Producer role at the company I'm at now.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

That's awesome! I think it would be cool to write the stories for them and have someone else program it. lol.

You're talking about the SHAWN bug, right?

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

I loved Until Dawn. I don't usually get spooked by video games, but that one had some really good jump scares. Who would have thought walking around in the dark in a video game could be so spooky? I liked the bit of Native American culture and the butterfly effect themes as well.

Re: OT: Anyone playing anything interesting?

The last game I played was Doom I and II. I dont think I got through the final level of II before my computer had a meltdown. And the music gave me an ear worm in my sleep and affected my dreams. Then years later I tried playing that super zippy speed cart game with my husband but it gave me vertigo and I threw up. No more games for me. Every now and then I check out the graphics when my husband is playing a game to see how cool they are, but after a few seconds the vertigo kicks in.
