American Horror Story : Great Season, Terrible Finale

Great Season, Terrible Finale

Kudos for the creativity of this season. Very unique. This would be the caliber that you would expect would end the show with. So I'm kind of curious where it's going to go next season.

However, the season finale was a failure. It just did not bring everything together nor end with a bang or "OMG!" moment. Instead, it was rather boring and stupid. (The whole self-sacrifice scene was incredibly stupid, IMO.) Almost like the director quit and someone else, someone less experienced, took over at the last moment.

This season would have gotten a solid 10 had it not have been for the finale. Due to that mess I have to deduct a couple of points and rank it an 8. It's still better than Coven though.

What's funny is it had the same directory as Chapter 1, and I thought that was the second best episode of the season.

I agree. Really enjoyed the season but the finale was a letdown

Re: Great Season, Terrible Finale

Hardly any of the AHS finales ended with a bang. I admit I was surprised when the episode concluded as I was expecting more things to happen, but plot-wise it was a perfect ending, if you ask me.

The only thing I personally did not enjoy was the crew investigating the Roanoke house for their show. It felt too repetitive and most importantly extremely rushed. Seriously, a 5-man crew shows up in Roanoke, bump into Lee searching for Flora, and they all die within a matter of minutes. The scares and jump scenes were too poor to make up for it, too. Oh, also the obligatory cops-to-the-rescue-NOPE! scene.

Ponchos are forever
