AS MUCH AS WE MAY HATE CERTAIN SEASONS …

You have to admit even with some lousy stories , Murphy gets some pretty amazing performances out of his cast. Adina Porter is this years Sarah Paulson "Asylum breakout performance" ... this is Adina's year to shine, what an amazing actress, and am glad to see her get her due ... Kudo's to this years cast , what a great season.

Re: AS MUCH AS WE MAY HATE CERTAIN SEASONS …

The actors and the directors pull out the performances. Murphy probably isnt even on set most of the time. Why are you crediting him for the great performances?

Re: AS MUCH AS WE MAY HATE CERTAIN SEASONS …

Because he gets the talent , he pitches the idea and goes from there. Hey believe me I wasn't the biggest fan of Murphy till this year, but he sure does know how to get the talent, and I think he deserves a hand for bringing the focus back to talent and not just another set of pecs/boobs ... he may get the Singer party boys for bit parts , but the fact he is giving prime time back to truly great film/television actresses and actors is worth this shout out .

Re: AS MUCH AS WE MAY HATE CERTAIN SEASONS …

Murphy is a producer, he helps start the series because he has Hollywood connections, but a casting director does the cast, a director does the direction. Murphy wrote the first and last episode and that was it, can't you tell? The last episode had to be the worst episode of any television show I've ever enjoyed.

Re: AS MUCH AS WE MAY HATE CERTAIN SEASONS …

The fantastic acting saves the show. The writing is AWFUL and most of the time it seems like the editor is snorting coke at work. I just wish they would resist the urge to attempt to SHOCK the audience with nudity and gore and actually take a stab (no pun intended) at good storytelling. Now that would really be a shocker.

The other poster is right. Murphy tends to be around for the first episode of all his shows but he's essentially absent after that.
