A League of Their Own : At the Hall of Fame exhibit

At the Hall of Fame exhibit

The league ran from 1943 to 1954, but you'd think that that first year Rockford team was was the only team out there - and they didn't even win the title!

Which team is Kit shown on? Rockford. And there's a life-size pic of her batting. Mae and Doris have a large picture. Helen and Betty each have photos holding a bat. How may pictures is Dottie in? All the other first year Peaches? There's a giant Rockford sign and their lockers against the wall. Stillwell's mom had a lifesize cutout photo, and she stunk. The big team photo is of that first Rockford team, and with Kit on it. And somehow, the only team where most of the players show for the exhibit is them.

Which team won that first Series? Oh, yeah, Racine. Any other championships by teams in the next 11 years? Nah. And none of those youngsters seemed to care about the league.

Science doesn't care what you believe.

They won the most titles with 4

Re: At the Hall of Fame exhibit

Maybe there was a different room for each team..? It was a movie about them, do you really expect them to show a bunch of pictures of people you don't know?

Re: At the Hall of Fame exhibit

Dottie only played one season, while the others played multiple seasons. Part of the excitement also was that the Peaches were 1 of only 2 teams that was managed by a former major league player. Jimmy was based loosely on hall of famers Hack Wilson and Jimmy Fox.
