Michael Cera : Did his career die?

Did his career die?

Haven't seen him in anything in a while.

Re: Did his career die?

I hope so

Re: Did his career die?

Jesus yes please I hope so. Now if we could just see the last of his boring, wooden stereotypical jew replacement Jessie Eusenturd i would be happy. Then lets off Seth Rogaine, Paul Dudd, Jason Soggeil,Jonah Hill and that new Jonah Hill type fat geek (the dude in the Billy Crystal sitcom) cant remember his name but he is suddenly in everyfrackinthing..Enough of these boring one trick poniesso SOOOOO much nepotism and buddybuddy role handouts anymore that true talent seems hard to see anymore.

Re: Did his career die?

Wow! WHAT A COINCIDENCE!

All of the actors listed above have one thing in common - they're Jewish (except for Cera). I tell you, those are some lonnnnnng odds. I mean since Jews make up less than 2% of the population and all. Jews must be just that much more talented, seeing as they seem to land starring roles at a rate that easily exceeds 10 times their proportional population.

Re: Did his career die?

No, he just likes doing indie films.

Re: Did his career die?

NO BECAUSE INDY IS ALL HE CAN BOOK. He doesn't do the deciding. His career was over the moment he turned in his 10th wooden "performance" in a row. No big budget film is going to risk him as a lead or a supporting because he has no ticket draw except to maybe a few tweens and twinks. The guy is just wood wood wood.

Re: Did his career die?

He does a voice acting role in Sausage Party, and that is getting a lot of buzz.

No idea how well it will do at the box office, though. I do plan on seeing it in cinemas, however.

Re: Did his career die?

I hope so too. I hope he starts doing Lifetime movies that are shot in Vancouver, with all the *beep* Canadian actors.

Why Michael Cera doesn't get many movie offers anymore

http://www.looper.com/39406/michael-cera-doesnt-get-many-movie-offers-anymore/

In the mid-aughts, Michael Cera rode a wave of critical success and audience popularity, courtesy of his central turn in the cult television series Arrested Development and his back-to-back box office smashes Superbad and Juno. The actor cornered the market on mealy-mouthed hipsters for a spell, but his career has since been through a major metamorphosisand it includes far fewer starring roles. If you're like us, you've been missing Cera, and might be wondering why Hollywood's dialed back on his celebrity status lately. Here's why you don't seem onscreen as much anymoreand how he might turn it around.
