Foreign Student : This movie is very Underrated

I saw this the other day on stars and I thought that this movie was very well put togather. I love the story and the acting was great. I think that this movie should have been more notice.

I agree. I loved the innocence, but abject reality of the time and place(1950's in the south) in which the young lovers met. Clearly, I love a happy ending, and I really hope in times to come there will be more positive, happy endings.

Its schmaltsy but I think it's worth seeing for its honest, interesting treatment of the culture shock experienced by Europeans in America.

I completely agree, easypz, although Big Night is perhaps less about culture shock per se than it is about the shock encountered while trying to make the (capitalist) American dream come true.
