Hollyoaks : Ayden Callaghan is leaving - Joe Roscoe

Ayden Callaghan is saying goodbye to the role of Joe Roscoe.

The 35-year-old soap star has even filmed his last Cheshire scene, which will air later this year.

The Sun reports that the cast are sad to see Callaghan leave. However, they've been promised a thrilling climax as the love triangle between Joe, Mercedes McQueen and Joanne Cardsley comes to fruition.

Nooooo why couldn't it have been dodgy Warren? Or scary Lisa? Or useless Ryan?

I'm glad he's going, poor actor. Now if they could get rid of Warren, he's no replacement for Trevor.

Wasn't Trevor just a replacement for Warren in the first place?

I like Warren, but it makes zero sense that he would stick around a place where everybody hates him. On the other hand, the police in Hollyoaks are so dumb, it's a great place to be a criminal.

Never thought I'd say this, but Mercedes actually deserves better than him. She's virtually played mother earth (as much as Mercedes could ever do that kind of thing) to him and the kids and he's thrown it back in her face a few times now. Quite happy that he won't be hanging around for much longer.

I'm sorry Joe is leaving. I do like him. I wonder what will happen to the kids as that only leaves Freddie around

Yeah although he can be a bit stupid sometimes (like falling for Joanne) Joe is a decent guy. There are worse people that they could have killed off.

As for the kids well I guess Freddie will finally have to take responsibility for his daughter but who knows with JJ? Not that the actress will return but maybe he will somehow end up in Canada with Sandy? Or even both kids if Freddie still wants to ignore Lexi.

Having said that, of course, I forgot (as everyone else - even the writers - has done) that Darren is also a brother
