This Is 40 : Never would my kid talk to me that way!
Re: Never would my kid talk to me that way!
I don't have a problem with that scene so much (people get so hung up on swear words.used in the house, no big deal), but I do have a problem with the scene immediately folliwing that one. Debbie and her husband had a huge fight just the day or so before, then yes, they had to present a united front at their child's school with the principal the next day, but then, right after their daughter blew up with swearing, the resolution of their anger between them just seemed too quick. And their reasons, "We're mad at our parents. It's THEIR fault", were ridiculous. The extremely quick resolution of their anger toward each other based on REALLY stupid and faulty logic was completely sophomoric. It was the nost egregious example of very lazy, stupid writing. I actually cringed watching that scene unfold.

Well, it could be a case of "we've been married so long we don't really need to apologize because I know your true intentions and I actually love you". Or not.

some kids get knocked up at 12 or 13. I'm sure plenty curse at their parents
plus that daughter got grounded multiple times for things like using the computer/phone

How old are your kids?
Re: Never would my kid talk to me that way!
Yeah they will, and what would you do to prevent it? Violence? Then you are worse than the kid.

Bad scene.
