Vegas Vacation : The crappy games in that low rent casino..

The crappy games in that low rent casino..

Is that a real thing?

Re: The crappy games in that low rent casino..

That casino was once an actual casino, but closed down a few years after the film was made. As for the "games", they weren't real.

Re: The crappy games in that low rent casino..

i'm nearly positive "rock paper scissors" is a real game.

hehe.

The exterior of that casino that we see is the old Klondike Hotel/Casino, which has since been demolished. The "goofy games" in there is all a gag though; no Vegas casino has "rock paper scissors" or "guess which hand!"

War is one game played for real in many Casinos.

if it was any good they'd have made an American version by now - Hank Hill

Re: The crappy games in that low rent casino..

I would be willing to play War, or Rock Paper Scissors.

But that one game, "Guess What Number I am Thinking?"...No Way... Just looking at that guys face, I know he was not going to be honest about that! No matter what "right" number Clark was going to guess, that guy would have said any other number just so Clark would loose! The Casino wants to win. Image the Black Jack guy running that game...

Re: The crappy games in that low rent casino..

That was the funniest part about the small casino games...that the dealer could just go "you're wrong" and take his money without any proof.

Rock Paper Scissors was pretty funny too

Re: The crappy games in that low rent casino..

I'd say an easy way to avoid any cheating is to have the guy either write down his number first or place a token face down with a specific number on it.

So many stories, so little time.

What?
You don't trust him?
Sheesh!
Some people, I swear!

Re: The crappy games in that low rent casino..

He did appear to have an honest face. Lol

So many stories, so little time.

Re: The crappy games in that low rent casino..

No not real. The point of the crappy games in this scene is to emphasize even more what a bad gambler Clark is. They spend hours hunting for and digging up Eddie's stash money out of his yard, just for Clark to blow it in minutes on games that should be easy for anyone to win.
