Homeland : Tedious

Tedious

I have to say I'm not enthused about this season so far. The liberal slant, plus the Quinn plot line is getting tedious. And if this season is all about Carrie proving the innocence of the Muslim kid and not fighting terrorism then I won't have a reason to watch.

Re: Tedious

I feel you, I love this show and I'm just itching for the wheels to spin a little faster...but I've been privy to some spoilers and things get crazy....fast.

Re: Tedious

It never seizes to surprise me to read some of the dumbest threads people like YOU post here. Maybe you should just stop watching the show since you the "Quinn plot line is getting tedious"; that is the most retarded and just heartless thing I read here. The season just started and only 3 episodes and you already judging it, you think the writers have to repeat the same plot lines for every season for Carrie to fight terrorism?. just because you voted for Trump that doesn't mean the creators of Homeland want to keep adding to the hate to feed racist jerks like you. Do you even realize a character in a series is suppose to change and grow and not everyone remains as tedious as you.

Re: Tedious

Well now aren't you the clever one. Only someone with no skills in reason and logic would bring up Trump in a post like this, and not that it matters, I didn't vote for him. And using the word "retarded"? Really, in this day and age? And you're calling me heartless? Oh, and the usual "racist" slur is typical of something who doesn't have the intellectual muscles to bring anything to the discourse. So, go ahead and respond with your inane remark proving my point, and all can have a good laugh. And yet, we should still have pity for someone like you who struggles with mental challenges such as choosing paper or plastic, or tying your shoes, without going into a panic attack.

Re: Tedious

The liberal slant

You're the one who brought politics into this thread and you're obviously a conservative. This used to be a good board, but this year you and your fellow conservatives have wrecked it - along with many other boards on IMDb. But thanks for making me glad the boards are shutting down. Now you people have to go back to your right-wing echo chambers where you'll just be spewing hate to each other.

Re: Tedious

And you will have to go back to jagging off to pictures you found in a magazine you found in your proctologist's office.

Re: Tedious

Eww. Projecting much? I'm female and I can assure you that no one wants to know about what you did with a magazine that you found at your proctologist's office.

Re: Tedious

I miss the days back when, when something in the art world used to get a political pass, because it was expected that it might present a certain view or explore a certain controversial idea.

What happened to the world that "art" can't do that anymore without the hate?

Art's art. It's supposed to make people think. Not hate.

When I was in school, we actually studied the differences between propaganda, controversial art and advertising. Those concepts were delineated and looked at.

In fact, ironically, artistic endeavors were able to bring people together to have a place to discuss differences.

I remember late nights back in the ''60s and '70s over beers after seeing a controversial play: A few of us weighing in in the "eye of the beholder" kind of way on the controversial points the play brought up.

Now this show tells us we can't do that anymore and the idea of art being a safe place is dead.

One thing somebody thinks about the show--that it's all just 100% old-style Soviet propaganda something--then it begins. It's being ranted about for being "too liberal" or "too conservative" or "pro-Israel" or "Anti" and the hate talk begins, as though it's an actual event that somebody has to immediately hate and become ugly about.

Maybe all Ganza is doing is...art! Exploring a whole array of ideas and positions and themes.

There is a lot I don't miss about the '60s and '70s, but even during the Vietnam War arguments, it never got this ugly--and certain did not over a tv show that had as a topic the war.

Re: Tedious

I'm a right-wing fanatic and I dig the season, thus far. Compared to previous seasons, however, it's more muddled and less clear where the plot is going.

"I can outlearn you, I can outread you, I can outthink you, and I can outPHILOSOPHIZE you..."

Re: Tedious

Have you even watched the previous seasons? if so then you should know there is always a bigger picture going on. Carrie trying to save a kid going to jail only scratches the surface, watch episode 4 and you'll realise it's already got bigger.

Re: Tedious

Yep, it blew up real good.

Re: Tedious

Hate to say it but I find the complaints tedious.

It's a show, no need to put political labels on it. It often has both POVs.

Quinn got gassed and barely survived. It wouldn't make sense for him to recover instantly from that. It may take years. We've seen him as a robotic henchman. He's more interesting as a struggling man.

Re: Tedious

Yeah and had he recovered instantly they would complain it's unrealistic.
