Sigh. OK, Charmed is better because clearly the better show since it was on for longer and had better writing and acting.

Yep buffy had better material to work with.

Definitely Buffy.

It's almost offensive to compare Buffy to such a show quality wise.

Buffy is the Beatles, Charmed is The Monkees.

They may be similar on the surface but, to me, they're on a completely different league:

Buffy: ground-breaking, cult classic, quirky, consistent characterisation - coming of age stories, deeper and darker themes, the early work of some brilliant writers (Joss Whedon primarily)

Charmed: conservative*, Spelling Television (i.e. coming from a soap-opera tradition), less inventive, more jumping-the-shark moments, relatively shallow.


*sorry, I know this needs a long explanation, but I don't have the time (it's the end of days after all)

Charmed was not shallow in the early seasons! There's also the fact that the lead actresses could rival SMG in the dramatic acting stakes. Just watch "Mortality bites" "A Paige From The Past" or this scene...(although it's sadder in the context of the episode, but still shows how good the acting and stories used to be).

Buffy, definitely Buffy.

I love the candyman movie. It's very memorable and chilling. Definitely Buffy. I adore the leads on Charmed and I just got an autographed picture of Alyssa Milano so that the humble brag portion of this post. Charmed just doesn't compare maybe if they kept the same quality level of the Shannen seasons then it would be more difficult to choose.

As a show: Buffy

In a fight: The Charmed Ones WITH Prue (sorry Paige, but your sisters SUCKED)

In a cooking contest: Piper while her sisters watch or talk about guys or
something.

In a fashion show: Buffy with that halter she's patrolled in many times

In charades: Buffy (she did so well when those bad, smiling men took her voice)

In continuity: Trick question. Charmed HAS no continuity.

In comic-book series: Ironically enough, Charmed. THAT'S where the continuity was hiding.

Best hair: Trick question. The Winchesters of Supernatural win.

Best final season: Buffy, sadly. Charmed: Season 8 was a CRIME!!

In Spin-offs: Ha!! Charmed's spin-off was cancelled before Season 8 finished because Charmed: Season 8 was a CRIME!!

In location: Buffy. I feel like I saw more of Sunnydale than I did of San Fransisco AND SUNNYDALE ISN'T A REAL PLACE!!!.........San Fransisco's a real place, right??

Definitely Buffy. I love both shows and had a big crush on Alyssa Milano but I think 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' was the best out of the two shows.😃
