Buffy the Vampire Slayer : Times Buffy was an awful slayer

Times Buffy was an awful slayer

In Crush she really was a f^cking awful slayer wasn't she.

Lets see she says Spike wasted her time when he brought her to the two Vampires. Eh no he brought her to two Vampires that still kill people and she just lets them f^ck off.

She also lets Drusilla and Harmony to go, two dangerous Vampires that have continued to kill people ever since.

Also I noticed that most absurd of all, Buffy NEVER did a de-invite for Spike up until that point?

He was free to murder her AND her mother in their sleep in Lovers Walk and The Harsh Light of Day LOL. But she only does that spell when he says he loves her? Weird.

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

That's funny. Perhaps I would think it was a coping method, she lives in a very different world then us and she's perfectly capable of humanizing vamps (Angel) and she might have a kind of sorrowful understanding that the darkness doesn't 'stop' coming, you just have to be there to fight it, so Buffy's not going to run her self ragged with every vamp that crosses her path she'll consider their immediate level of threat other wise it's just exhausting for her physical and mental level of health.

Harmony's a moron and Drusilla stays in the shadows unless something very unusual catalysts her behaviour staying in the background is how she's managed to survive for so long, plus she's crazy not a master mind.

Harmony's a moron but she's still a killer and dangerous.

She butchered the owner of the magic box. Her and Spike tied a guy up and tortured him for days in their lair when they were first together, she nearly killed Xander and Anya and successfully captured Dawn which had Buffy not got their sooner would have led to her being killed by Vampires, she held her own with Spike in a fight, she beat up Riley at his strongest, she tricked team Angel twice, the second time of which sent LA to Hell.

That and the fact that as a Vampire she regularly kills people anyway, moron or not if Buffy had dusted her then a lot of people would still be alive now.

Drusila meanwhile is one of the most dangerous Vampires of all time. She's insane, she tortures and kills people, and she killed a slayer without breaking a sweat. She also prior to Buffy letting her go in Crush went on a rampage in LA, and slaughtered an entire train full of people single handed.

Plus last time she was in Sunnydale she and her beau took control of the Vampires (when she was ill and later when he was in a wheelchair) and she made two attempts at bringing about the end of the world, The Judge and Acathla. Remember she was the one who broke Giles and discovered the secret to ending the world and she tried to stop Spike from helping Buffy.

Drusilla is one of the most dangerous Vampires IMO. She was part of the whirlwhind, learned everything about torture presumably from Angelus like Spike did, is of the Masters bloodline and is 100 plus years old. Letting her go IMO is the most irresponsible thing a Vampire hunter can do.

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

There is only one slayer. She descides who lives and who dies.

Drusilla and Harmony get away because the script authors wish to keep them as characters. Spike gets away the same way a TON of times, for example in the episode Halloween.

This is so true, and Angel does the same thing with Drusilla, Spike, Darla (you can understand because he feels guilty for them, but everyone they kill after he lets them go is on him), and other vampires/demons.

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

Lover's Walk: She let spike just walk away. Spike did not have a chip then. what was the excuse for letting him go?

Many times in Season 7 where she acted all high and mighty?

Crush.she should have killed Dru

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

The entirety of Season Seven. Just... shocking how much she messes things up.

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

Yeah, her connection to Spike in season 7 was a little bit of a turnoff. He was definitely more than just a reliable asset to her, as much as she tried to convince the Scooby gang he was just a necessity.

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

Well to be fair she wasn't there during most of the time so she remember him being evil or a nut job

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

Another was letting Sweet go. Sure he disappeared but he enough power to bring civilizations too ruin and got away.

Another was the fish swim team free too attack those at sea.

The mantis babies

Also how did the master have such a vast army and wouldn't Buffy be able too track them down too slay them

Re: Times Buffy was an awful slayer

The time that Spike was buying all those people and Buffy let him off
