Perhaps you should write in with your own story.
The author Philip K. Dick also believed that he was in at least one other parallel reality, in which America was ruled by a totalitarian regime or something. I believe he wrote The Man in the High Castle as a result.

Interesting stuffI think i'd go with the whole City Slickers/City Slickers 2 death and 'resurrection' of Jack Palance as an explanation for why so many people thought he was dead. I certainly had thought he was already dead.

I thought you might have misheard John HURT (Alien, V for Vendetta) but he's still alive, as well.
people have claimed John Goodman has died several times already. About three years ago, this rumor came up, and his wife couldn't get in touch with him and was nearly hysterical before someone was finally able to get hold of John. CNN mistakenly reported that he died again, recently. I'm guessing both times were people updating his bio and accidentally releasing information that was NOT checked as to it's authenticity.
Plus, John is closely identified with his ROSEANNE character, "Dan Conner", who was revealed to have died in the closing moments of that show, and John often takes roles that his character does not survive, which only adds fuel to his "death pyre".
btw, I'm often finding myself questioning reality because things I'm told or even experienced are remembered differently than by others.

You don't have to believe anything that I say for it is completely true and the truth will set you free.
He plays a character in the Costner/Kutcher film where he states that
"the Lord will uproot houses and tear them away in a flood."
Now, that might pass most people by except for the fact that I remember that John Hurd died a few years ago from a heartattack.
The fact that he is alive implies a merged parallel reality and or a dream state merger with reality.
Take it as you may but the butterfly effect is real and someone is practicing it.
