Dawson's Creek : If you were Joey …
Re: If you were Joey …
I hope not, it was so manipulative and abusive. I understood where Joey was coming from. She had lost most of her family and Dawson had been the one constant in her life and she was afraid of risking that for something she had no idea would work out or not, but the fact that Dawson used the fact that he knew that to control her was cruel. Especially since he spent the whole year telling her he didn't want her anymore and that she should move on. After he did that for a year I hope I would have had the courage to tell him to go to hell.
Re: If you were Joey …
I feel that if Joey had stood up to Dawson and rejected his ultimatum, flat out, he probably would have come around much sooner. You know, after his usual bout of, "sulk and mope, and feel sorry for myself because it turns out that the world does not revolve around me!" nonsense.
Or maybe I'm giving him way too much credit.

"Never mind walking a mile in my shoes. Try thinking a day in my head."
Re: If you were Joey …
I think if Dawson had realized he couldn't control Joey he would have had to just get over it sooner and realized if he wanted Joey in his life he would have to accept that Joey gets to make her own decisions.
If you were Joey …
Me? I would've told him where he could shove his ultimatum.
