Dawson's Creek : Was Joey really THAT gorgeous?

I remember jumping on the bandwagon with all the other girls in my 8th grade class and thinking Katie Holmes was soooo pretty, but was she really?

Now, when I look at her, I think she was average, maybe slightly above. She really did sell the girl next door look well, but ridiculously beautiful, not so much. She was cute, that's it. Yet Dawson and Pacey talked about her like she was some sort of goddess, and after season 2 it was like pretty much every guy she met thought she was amazingly beautiful or fell in love with her.

She was very pretty, but the show went way too far with it. I rolled my eyes every time they called her "Audrey Hepburn."

None of the girls on the show were stunners, but that was kind of nice. They looked more like girls you would actually go to high school with.

No she looked like the average high school student and her personality was awful. I cringe whenever they compare characters to Audrey Hepburn or another great beauty because it's never true. The cast was pretty normal looking overall but I always thought Jen and Jack were the best looking despite some major hair and fashion issues they gave them lol.

Joey was much prettier in the first couple of seasons I thought. Then it slowly went downhill from there. She was never ugly or even close to it, but it just wasn't believable how she was seen as this incredibly hot girl by every guy she encountered. Especially in college, when by that time she really was just barely above average.

Jen was the best looking of the girls in my opinion. She was beautiful when they didn't have her hair looking ridiculous.

None of the people on this show were ridiculously gorgeous, guys or girls. They were all kind of just "normal people" good looking.

Except maybe Miss Jacobs from season 1. She was gorgeous even though she was supposed to be a middle aged woman.

Oddly enough, I think Season 1 was Joey's prettiest season, and that was the one season of the show that the guys weren't all going crazy over her.

No. Katie Holmes is beautiful but I think Michelle Williams was always the most attractive.

Depends on what your definition of gorgeous is. If you like spunky, intelligent, girl next door type brunettes then yes. If you like the model type who doesn't have a lot of personality then I suppose not.

I think she was quite beautiful at least in the first 3 seasons, I wouldn't go as far as to call her a goddess as Pacey and Dawson seem to think, but you have to keep in mind they were in love with her so that was probably effecting how they saw her.

I've been watching this a Felicity again and they were both beautiful. Imagine how she must have looked in real life? That said, I think Michelle Williams is aging better than KH. Keri Russell is still gorgeous.
