looks really good, great attention to details on costumes and hair/makeup, although it looks like they're recycling Firth's "Railway man" garb!
I hope they don't do the same with Kidman and put her in that brunette dowdy wig.

Poison did you manage to watch Grace of Monaco, its out on DVD now. Although I would recommend you rent it first before purchasing. What did you think?

I was literally going to purchase it but i bought American Horror Story instead. I loved AMHS so have bought more of it. The price Grace of Monaco would've been the price i paid to watch at the cinema. I will definitely purchase it at some point but was thinking if it's quite bad then no harm in waiting a month and it will probably go down

Doing US press for "Sleep" Kidman told the Wall Street Journal what 5b4Aline Bernstein is all about ( she mentions the word fiery!)
Also Kidman hints on why she gave up on "the danish girl", sounds like she came to terms with the fact she wasn't suitable for the role before selling off the rights to the book.
I'm sure there were other reasons like the trouble landing a director and costar.

She is about to play Thomas Wolfe s lover, the costume designer Aline Bernstein, in the film Genius, about the book editor Max Perkins. Aline is the opposite of Christine. She is a fiery, dark-haired, strong woman, flamboyant, ahead of her time. My kind of stuff, Ms. Kidman said.
Also Kidman hints on why she gave up on "the danish girl", sounds like she came to terms with the fact she wasn't suitable for the role before selling off the rights to the book.
She recently changed her mind about another possibility. At one point I was going to do The Danish Girl, playing a man who becomes a woman. I actually couldnt believe myself as a man.

I love that she realizes that these sort of offbeat characters are her "kind of stuff" , so I cant wait to see what she cooks up for this role, I want Evelyn Stoker on steroids.

This is another great role for Nicole. Hopefully after she's finished filming she'll have a little meeting with herself about what roles to take on in the future and get that box office hit. Channel Joan Crawford Nicole she reinvented herself a few times and came back fighting. There's lot's of big name directors who'd love to work with Nicole. She'll be an asset.

In fact that's the problem with most female-driven movies these days, they usually just have their female lead and that's it. All too rare and spectacular to come across a Notes on a Scandal or August: Osage County project, with two titan actresses going head to head.

According to one of the movie producers, James Bierman, Genius wrapped on December 12th. https://twitter.com/Bierman71/status/543475020471992320 Kidman was on set around one week and a half (?) so I'm not expecting too much from her role. I think this type of movie fits perfectly in Focus Features recent movie library.

Nicole said it was only going to be 2 weeks on set for her. Her scenes got delayed about 2 weeks so I think she was in London for around a month.

She pro5b4bably just has 3-4 scenes, but if she has a 'moment' then she could well be an awards contender, *if* the film delivers.

She probably just has 3-4 scenes,

I don't really remember the "Cold Mountain" sex scene, I just recall it seeming really artificial seeming, like much of the film. I've always thought her best sex scene was in "Birth"!

Birth is a great choice but for me "dead calm" takes 5b4the cake because I would swear theyre actually doing it for real! plus the Kidman & Zane chemistry was off the charts.

Hemningway & Gellhorn's were the epitome of it.
No offence to the directors (dead or alive) but I think they were more interested in their own needs rather than the needs of the film whilst directing those scenes.
Kidman even made a comment saying that she questioned Philip Kaufman about the sex but he was not having it any other way.
