Borg vs. McEnroe : two questions

two questions

1. who is dumb enough to watch a movie about one of the greatest tennis matches of all time, when you can actually WATCH THE MATCH ?

2. So McEnroe is portrayed as right-handed ? Did the producers miss the point that one of the biggest elements in the rivalry of opposites between Borg and McEnroe, other than

Borg being european, McEnroe being American
Borg being a baseliner, McEnroe being serve and volleyer
Borg being ice-cold, McEnroe being fully emotional
Borg having nice looks and combed hair, McEnroe looking like he just woke up

was

BORG BEING RIGHT-HANDED, AND McENROE BEING LEFT-HANDED ?!?!?!!?

Re: two questions

Because the movie is about the story surrounding the tennis match and not just the actual tennis match? Just like all true sports stories.

Re: two questions

what story ?

Borg had 4 wimbledons, McEnroe 1 Usopen
Borg was right, McEnroe was left
Borg was swede, McEnroe American
Borg was straight hair, McEnroe curly
Borg was cold, McEnroe was fire
Borg was gay, McEnroe was straight
Borg was baseliner, McEnroe was S&V
Borg didn't go to college, McEnroe did
Borg didn't shave, McEnroe shaved

what's more to tell ?

plus WHY McENROE RIGHT HANDED?

Re: two questions

How do we know he's playing with his right hand in the movie? Cuz on the picture of Shia here on IMDb, he is holding the racket with his left hand?

Re: two questions

I'm pretty sure Borg is a straight player.

Re: two questions

1. The film is a biopic and is about character development, how they got there, how they dealt with the whole game under tremendous stress and the relationship between them. the 1980 final is just the result.
2. Shia had a stunt double and I guess the visual effect department will fix that.
