Re: Plot Spoilers
Love it! Thank you. :) I'm now more excited than ever for this film.
I have one question. About Lefou. What happens to him in the end after he switches sides?
It's called a hustle, sweetheart.

Re: Plot Spoilers
Not really anything. He is the only one not chased out of the castle and when Belle comes, he tells her where to find Gaston.
Re: Plot Spoilers
So I would assume he joins the celebration dance after the spell is broken. Am I right?

Re: Plot Spoilers
Maybe. The last we see of him in the novel, he directs Belle to Gaston. After that, it puts the focus on the final battle and the celebration of everyone being uncursed.

Le Fou saves Mrs. Potts from smashing to the floor. After he catches her he tells Mrs. Potts he was tired of being treated like an object. She sympathizes. That's the last I remember him being mentioned in the novelization of the script.
Re: Plot Spoilers
Does Lumiere still sing ''Be Our Guest'' as he did in the animated film? Does he still have a relationship with the featherduster?
What is the role of Cadenza (portrayed by Stanley Tucci) in this film?

Yes to both.

I believe he's the harpsichord in the ballroom.
Re: Plot Spoilers
So it's more like "The Jungle Book" in the sense that it builds upon animated version and adds a few things while respecting it, rather than completely pulling a 180 with the story and characters like "Maleficent" did. I like that.
Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu.

Re: Plot Spoilers
Just pointing out. So if the Prince used to be just like Gaston. maybe if the witch had cursed Gaston instead, Belle would have actually ended up loving and marrying him ;)
turning into a beast to serve you some humble pie does the trick lol

Re: Plot Spoilers
Marauteatime, is there a wedding? Do we see Belle and Beast get married? Do we see any stained glass windows like in the beginning of the original?
Something I noticed in the trailer, why do belle and Mauric live in the village? Something that really works in the original was that they lived outside of the village. Lent more to the fact that they were outsiders to the village. I'm kind of iffy about them living in the village. I liked that they had a farm.
Thanks.

Re: Plot Spoilers
No stained glass window opening and no wedding shown. At least, no wedding in the novel. From what I read, they live on the outskirts of town, but that may have changed with the final draft and have them live in town. As for the reasoning, who knows.
Re: Plot Spoilers
Does Gaston try to propose to Belle at her house like in the original? Does he invite the town to his proposal/pre-wedding?

Re: Plot Spoilers
He proposes differently, but he doesn't invite the town. The proposal takes place after the scenes involving her trying to teach a girl to read.
Re: Plot Spoilers
Has the Prince a name? is Adam his name?
Re: Plot Spoilers
No name.
Re: Plot Spoilers
No name.
Not said out loud (Par Disney tradition) that's part the little joke on why Rumplestitlskin doubles as the Beast in Disney's Once Upon a Time, the one fairy tale character no one was supposed to know the name of.
Disney officially named The Beast Prince Adam back in the 1990s. The park "Cast Members" are told to call him Prince Adam if a child asks but the tradition has been not to say it in film or play.
Re: Plot Spoilers
Thanks for the answer.
Re: Plot Spoilers

Back in the 1990s Disney park employees were told that if any child asks what The Beast's name is that he is Prince Adam. It's traditionally not said in the films or Broadway play but officially he's Prince Adam.

Re: Plot Spoilers
Does Gaston still propose marriage to Belle and get rejected? Is his ultimate plan still to get her to marry him? I don't see leaving Maurice in the woods to die would help Gaston marry his daughter?
Re: Plot Spoilers
Gaston does propose to Belle and gets rejected, though how is different than the animated film.
Gaston does not have an ultimate plan. After Belle rejects him, Gaston turns to her father. When he ultimately rejects Gaston as well after seeing his true colors, Gaston leaves him for dead. When he returns and confronts Gaston, Gaston has him locked up, convincing the town Maurice is crazy.
When Belle returns, Gaston does not hide the fact that he believes Maurice is crazy. When Belle tries to stand up for her father saying he's telling the truth, Gaston refuses to listen, saying she'd say anything to help him and that she has no proof. That's when Belle pulls out the mirror.

Re: Plot Spoilers
So, just out of curiosity, how DOES Belle reject Gaston in this? I'd assume she doesn't kick him into mud and mockingly wave goodbye and smirk based on how you said it was different.
Re: Plot Spoilers
Belle and Gaston are outside when they talk. After Belle gets fed up, she tells Gaston, "I may be a farm girl. But I'm NOT simple. I'm sorry, but I will never marry you, Gaston." and she gets inside the house and shuts the door on him.
Re: Plot Spoilers
Well, I must admit, it's definitely nicer than in the original version, where she well, threw Gaston into mud and then smirked and waved goodbye in a more mocking manner.
