Its simply the closest there is out there to IMDb out of all the suggested alternatives recommended by users on here. I hope to see as many of you on there as possible.

Out of the bunch that have recently popped up, it has the best layout and seems pretty intuitive to navigate.

Definitely. It has a good friendly layout, forums for each title (that was the decider for me). I hope many others make the jump over to it, I just can't take to that imdb v2.0 site.

IMDBv2 has like 1500 users right now. It's pretty active on the boards that I normally frequent.

I see it's got a healthy lead at the minute for it's amount of users, but I suspect that will change once these boards close. For me I just don't like the overall look of imdb v2. It's to messy and lacks sub categories for all the different movies. This is where The Movie Database wins hands down on all counts.

It has separate boards for all the SW movies. http://imdb2.freeforums.net/board/27/star-wars

And it's being redesigned to include different boards for every major movie franchise. If you're looking for obscure movie boards, then it probably won't have them. But it'll have all the popular ones.
