I don't hate Rey, I just don't like the way she's been presented so far. Especially knowing that she exists in the mind of Kathleen Kennedy simply to be a role model for little girls. Knowing this I can't help but think that she won't ever be made to suffer any significant defeats and that to me makes for a predictable and boring story. If I didn't know any of this, I would probably "like" her more. But as it stands for now, she's just tolerable to me with the only saving grace being the fact that she's played by the likable Daisy Ridley.
