Justice League : I hope Matt Reeves gets to do a Batman prequel trilogy.

I'm assuming that Affleck will be let out of his contract after JL. Let him go. Let Matt Reeves do a Batman prequel trilogy that doesn't have to be so tightly connected to the larger DCEU. This would give him a ton of freedom to tell the stories that he wants to tell. And hopefully that includes how Batman took on an apprentice (Robin), and then subsequently lost him.

Why would WB let Ben Afleck go after his 3 film contract is over after Batman ?

Always remember Hollywood is run by 3 things: Greed, Fear, and Stupidity

They're probably gonna let him go before his 3 film deal is up. The reason is that they don't wanna piss him off because they like having him around as a director.

Plus, the rumor is that they're working out a multi-picture deal with Matt Reeves. So either way, Affleck is gonna be walking. Do they want to leave Reeves in a position where he'll need to recast after one movie with Affleck, or do they want to create a scenario where Reeve's movies can work on their own (while still being tangentially related to the larger DCEU) with a new guy playing Batman in all three movies? That's the question.

I still say keep Affleck on for all 3 films.

I don't like the way he just jumps up and runs away because the DCEU isn't on fire like Affleck wanted it to be. It just seems cowardly. He's starred in medicore crap films his whole life and it's just made him so self conscious.

If he could only see that BvS isn't actually a bad movie and that it's just biased fools tearing the film apart, then he could see that there's no point in being so self conscious.

Just finish the contract I hate lack of continuity and they can't expect people to just warm up to somebody new in the role even if it's supposed to be a younger version of him or something.

Affleck is a perfect casting choice, they're not going to find someone as good as him that can play Bruce Wayne the way Affleck did.
