Titanic : Rose's dream/death ending question
Re: Rose's dream/death ending question
They showed everyone who died on the ship at the ending.
No, they most certainly did not. They showed around 100-200 people, max, who died on the ship - leaving around 1300-1400 people out. Furthermore, they only showed people who were, or were supposed to be, friendly to Jack and Rose and their relationship (they applaud, after all).
Lovejoy would not have been applauding. He would likely have pulled out his gun for another shot. Furthermore, the purpose of that final scene was symbolic, not narrative.

I'd *like* to think that Lovejoy would have seen the light (so to speak) after his passing, but otherwise, great post.
Hmm Giving some more thought, I think that only Cal fired the gun, not Lovejoy, but again, great post!!

Re: Rose's dream/death ending question
Rose and Jack were joining the good people on the ship who were in paradise. Lovejoy and Cal were not there, because they were evil bastards!

Re: Rose's dream/death ending question
Rose she shouldn't be there, she was cheating whore.
Re: Rose's dream/death ending question
You sure wouldn't have been there.
Judging people is a horrible thing to do.

Re: Rose's dream/death ending question
Ha, god forbid we hold people up to the wrongs they've done, lol. Why would I want to spend eternity on a ship with a third class criminal and his whore? If you were there I would certainly question the aspect of it being heaven.
Re: Rose's dream/death ending question
There you go, judging people again. You are a narrow minded, tiny little person. If you were the only other person in the world, I would shoot myself rather than occupy the same planet with a holier than thou person like you.

Rose's dream/death ending question
Lovejoy died as well when the ship split in two, but he was nowhere to be seen at the end.
Why was he the only one not there if it was a "death scene "?
