World Without End : #1 Favorite Movie

I have a lot of favorite movies Winter Light, Yojimbo, Casablanca, The Last Man on Earth, Wild Strawberries, Sanjuro, A Man For All Seasons, Soylent Green, Death Race 2000, The Quiet Man, Larceny Inc., The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Les Vacances de M. Hulot, The Creation of the Humanoids, Beyond The Time Barrier, but World Without End (1956) is my #1 Favorite movie. I should be ashamed to admit it, but I'm not. So there. :)

Why should you be ashamed to admit it? This one of my favorite films as well.

It has a good cast, plot and script, and is, for a low-budget film, quite a good effort.

Like I said earlier, it is one of my favorite films.

"Ashamed" is a subjective term. World Without End is no "Out of the Past", but I've watched it more times than Howard Hughes watched "Ice Station Zebra", and for me, personally, it's a perfect movie. I love every scene, and every line.

While I can't quite say it's my favorite film, I love WWE too and think it's very good and underrated. I like it much better than The Time Machine, for instance. I second my friend gary_overman on applauding your stand, Lone_Wolf_and_Cub!

By the way, I like most of the films you mentioned in your OP, but I congratulate you on including Beyond the Time Barrier and especially the unfairly-derided The Creation of the Humanoids. The latter is a fascinating and well-thought-out film, with some pointed ideas and dialogue if you pay attention.

More than Beyond the Time Barrier, however, one of my absolute faves is the first Edgar Ulmer-Robert Clarke collaboration, The Man From Planet X.
