I Need To Know : Statue of Virgin Mary comes to life (old B & W film)

Statue of Virgin Mary comes to life (old B & W film)

I've posted the details of this before only to be deleted. One last ditch effort..

I saw this movie as a kid in the late 60s or 70s. I would really like to know as the movie left an impact on me, all I could do is stare in wonder at the images.

The movie may be set in somewhere in Europe possibly Spain?

I remember a convent, a mission for poor kids, small cast.

A young nun prays to the Virgin for blessings of the poor by day to mid-evening.

Late at night, the Virgin comes to life and moves through the streets of the village. You could see the shadow of the statue as it looms about. There may be possible witnesses, not sure.

Not: The Song of Bernadette

My memory is kinda sketchy,so please forgive in advance. Much appreciation if someone figures this out.

Re: Statue of Virgin Mary comes to life (old B & W film)…

The Miracle (1959)

It could be the Miracle, a 1959 film starring Carroll Baker, and it was set in Spain

Bro, the OP is long gone and will not see the suggestion.

So we will never know if that is the answer they were seeking.
