Because there are no many voters.
Film is ok.

My girlfriend and I were watching this movie and we came to the decision that it stunk after 40 mins. I'll finish the stinker at another time but it is disappointing so far. Only wanted to see it because of Mickey Rourke but he had only a brief scene at the beginning. Seems to be a vanity piece for Juliette Lewis.

Since you ask, the rating is quite generous.
The film was lifeless and the writing terrible, with zero character development, no drama to speak of and no momentum to the plot. I respect Lewis and Gershon a lot and there were some other actors making the best of a bad job. The prospect of Lewis as a Quebecoise drew me to the film; she spoke about 200 words in the entire movie. The worst actor was the Cynthia character, reading her lines from a teleprompter, but she got the best scene, dialling the cops at the end of the movie.

I don't want to take this work to pieces, scene by scene. There's a Canadian guy out there trying to do stuff with limited resources. I must now get hold of 'Roadkill', which I don't think I've ever seen, and see what McDonald built his reputation on. It got good reviews when it came out.
