The Room : The Sex Scenes

First of all, I have to say that I haven't seen this movie yet. But after reading the critics and user reviews, I was laughing so hard that I was crying. I am going to buy this movie from Amazon today.

My question is: Are the sex scenes in this movie are as bad as people say?

Before The Room, my choice for worst sex scene in a movie was the so bad it's good movie Mitchell (MST3K fans will know what i'm talking about), but The Room sounds a LOT worse.

Any opinions about this?

They are absolutely horrible, so much so, that Wiseau felt the need to use the same sex scene twice. Seeing those scenes once was enough for me, I always fast-forward them.

Yes, but do watch them at least once to experience the horrendous epicness of those scenes. The uncomfortably long sequences of creepy dubbed moaning, navel humping, sappy background songs and Wiseau's flaky, naked behind are just...perfect in the most awful way.

Okay. All of the reviews I read did mention that the sex scene had to bee seen once, I will. If I can endure watching the sex scenes in Robot Monster and Mitchell, I can endure it for The Room.

I was in tears laughing when I first watched it.

They are pretty incredible unsexy sex scenes. And it's not just because Wiseau is hideous because the scene with two others (trying to save you spoilers) was also very unappealing. I read the actress thought the clip would be short but that he used the whole footage.

I agree with Moonlighty. The sex scenes are oddly (or actually predictably) completely devoid of any sexuality. I can't think of any sex scenes in any movie that were so strange. They were just really awkward; the only reaction I had was complete and total empathy for the girl. (Though I must say she was a trouper!) The scenes themselves weren't exploitive or even gross; there was just a total disconnect, absolutely no chemistry at all. (And, yes, I could've continued living a fulfilling life without having seen Tommy's butt.)
