Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance : Cultural difference, dramatic embellishment or oversight?

Cultural difference, dramatic embellishment or oversight?

Maybe someone more familiar with South Korean culture can give me the scoop on this.

Is it a normal occurrence for a family member to witness the autopsy of a loved one? I'm not sure of the legalities and/or protocols for autopsies in the U.S., but culturally speaking it just doesn't happen here.

Re: Cultural difference, dramatic embellishment or oversight?

the sense i get is that it is most likely that the father requested to witness the autopsy, or it was a liberty taken by the movie. I can't speak about the Korean culture aspect, but I doubt that it is "normal" for any culture for a father to view the autopsy of a dead daughter or son.
