Re: Walker's best film.
All the cast is fine. Rupert Davies is brilliant and the three girls: Jackie, her "sweet" little sister Debbie and Jackie's friend, Merle, are really gorgeous.
Pity they didn't appear on any other films that I know.
One puzzling question: How does Debbie comes to know about her parents?. Who told her, if it wasn't Jackie ? Maybe she follows her sister on her weekly visits to the farmhouse ?

Re: Walker's best film.
I met Ms. Sheila keith after a Theatre production (1991) and what a very pleasant and gracious lady she was! Sadly very underused and talented actress also very good at Comedy!!

Re: Walker's best film.
Does anyone know anything about Kim butcher and why she only made this film?
Thanks

Re: Walker's best film.
My favourite Pete Walker film is House of Mortal Sin but I would advise anybody to try and get hold of the 5 film box set. The audio tracks are quite good as they feature Pete Walker on them together with writer David McGillivray on most of the others. There's also a tribute to the great Sheila Keith too.

Re: Walker's best film.
I personally believe that THE COMEBACK was Walker's best film. However, FRIGHTMARE is an absolutely superb film as well. It's the British version of THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE (although not a ripoff of that film). It's just so wonderful to realise that there are some horror films (although not many) that really scare. Sheila Keith really is terrifying to see on screen. Those tarot card readings always give me the creeps.
It was widely considered at the time that the British film industry was in dire straits. As such, the few superb films such as FRIGHTMARE released at that time were forgotten more or less straight after being released. I'm so delighted that the film has developed a cult following. It's nice to live in a world where there are still people who know what good film-making really is.

Re: Walker's best film.
I would see this is indeed Walker's best film. I also have a soft spot for HOME BEFORE MIDNIGHT, trashy as it is!
