Howdy, Islanders!

Firstly I would like to thank all of the "naughty-cal" regs for making me SO welcome on this board this past year. There are few boards that can truly boast a largely positive and friendly vibe as well as an informative membership. This is Quint-essentially one of them.

I hope you all have family and/or "chums" (sigh), with whom you can spend this festive season

Personally I've Orca-strated a lot of presents from the Amazonian this year and am awash with gifts received from the same general area so now I plan to abandon ship and move to a newer and bigger island in order to accommodate the treasures! Otherwise I may have to walk the plank but that's no way to talk about my partner.

Seriously all, have a peaceful time. All the best to each and every one of you. I can't wait for more glorious JAWS discussion in the New Year so lets all be prepared for some frivolity.

Christmas Day was 40.2 degC (104.3 decF). Santa didn't come down the chimney; he crawled onto the back porch, drank all the dog water and passed out under the lawn sprinkler.
